2025 Aprilia Tuareg Rally Edition
The new variation is powered by the same 659cc (81mm bore and 63.9mm stroke) parallel twin of the standard Tuareg. But for 2025 it receives a new ECU in combination with 52mm throttle bodies to replace the previous 48mm units to comply with the Euro 5+ emission standards while keeping power at the previous level of 80 hp at 9,250 rpm. This Rally variation uses a specific map that grants a more aggressive throttle response. The Tuareg Rally also receives a special titanium SC-Project exhaust system.
The chassis has been extensively upgraded to make the new Rally version more agile and capable to negotiate the roughest ground possible. A 43mm male-slider Kayaba fork offers 240mm (9.4 inches) wheel travel with single-rate springs that deliver for a firmer response and a more constant stance compared to the standard model’s progressive-rate springs.
The seat height has gone up by 20mm to 880mm (34.6 inches) for a more aggressive riding position. Also the handlebar is taller and is fitted with hand guards reinforced with a steel band for more effective protection. Also the engine received a stronger aluminum oil-sump guard.
Based on the African Eco Race experience, the chain is protected by a stronger chain guide, and narrow Ergal heavy-duty spoked wheels are shod with tube-type knobby tires. A tire pressure sensor is available as an option.
The Rally version is 11 pounds lighter than the standard Tuareg model, down to 439 pounds in running condition. New Aprilia Tuareg Rally is the closest to a competition bike a production unit can get, while keeping a very elegant and attractive look.
